The Cuisiniere sports a traditional style, that reminds us of our grandmother's cook stove. The difference between your Grandmother's stove and the Cuisiniere is the newly remodeled 2015 style with a convection oven, and increased efficiency. If you want to heat with wood and have the convenience of convection style cooking, the Cuisiniere is the perfect choice! Increased Higher Efficiency 88% (with dry seasoned wood). Wood cook stoves provide you the ability enjoy one of your favorite meals baked in the convection oven, delicious stove-top meals, with the new and improved Enameled Cast Iron Cook top. The enameled surface reduces cleaning efforts, with its sleek surface. In addition, this environmentally functional stove burns with an emission level as low as 1.349 Gr/Hr and has an efficiency rating of 78.6% (LHV). These results were obtained within official tests conducted by the CSA B 415.1-10 standard, which is the Canadian environmental standard that is closest to the environmental standard of the U.S. EPA. This wood cook stove also meets the Canadian Safety Standard ULC-S-627.00, which is the Canadian equivalent to the UL Safety Standard in the USA.

Note:
Please note that there are consumer reviews posting about the quality of the baking oven. As of 2015 J.A. Roby redesigned the engineering of the baking oven. Prior to 2015, the baking oven was not convection, thus the heat did not flow around the baking oven. In 2015, J.A. Roby redesigned the Cuisienere Wood Cook Stoves to include a convection baking oven. Thus, the heat flows in the top left side (when facing the stove) and flows downward, up the right side, and accross the top oven the oven and out the flue stack. Since this redesign, we have had many customers reporting oven temperatures up to 550 degrees!
