The Vermont Bun Baker XL has the same features as the standard Vermont Bun Baker, however, it has a larger firebox. The larger firebox will provide longer burn times. This cookstove will heat 1,500 - 2,500 sq. ft. depending on the outdoor temperatures and how well insulated a home is. This cook stove will cook everything from crispy, fresh bread to succulent, juicy roasts. The cook top takes 4 large saucepans or pots and the 2 removable rings make it ideal for wok cooking. A bypass damper allows hot flue gases to circulate around the oven before escaping through the flue outlet. While it's cooking, it spreads cozy warmth through your kitchen or living area.
Note: The Vermont Bun Baker XL is the same stove as the Nectre N550 Big Baker's Oven. Our distributor has been given the privilege by the Australian manufacturer of naming it the Vermont Bun Baker XL and adding the option of soapstone to this unique cook stove.

The Bun Baker XL has two air controls and a bypass damper for controlling the fire.
By-pass damper: In the open position, this diverts the flame path directly up the flue. In
the closed position, the flames are diverted down the sides of the heater, around the
oven before then travelling up the rear of the heater and up the flue.
Top air slide: This allows air to enter the firebox from above the door where it is then
drawn down into the base of the fire while keeping the glass clean.
Bottom air slide: This allows air to enter directly into the base of the fire and is used as a
boost especially when getting the fire up to temperature.
The slide on the oven door is to allow heat to escape to lower the oven temperature.
